Buying drugs for bitcoin is a silly idea now..
So slow, so expensive and no more anonymous..
people would rather use DASH or ZCash for that kind of deals.
Wasn't Monero the new go-to crypto? Haven't heard much about DNMs since the last crackdown, was wondering if those had anything to do with the XMR spike or if that's just crypto being in a bull market.
For me, Monero replaced Bitcoin for my payment method if I want my transaction anonymous in cryptocurrency. The price of Monero and its nature not related. Its value just increased by the bull market as you said.
