You should try bitcoin-brokers. It's a fairly new startup that links buyers and sellers of BTC. They have support for the major banks such as BoA, Chase, and WF. Another option you have is #bitcoin-otc. It's an IRC channel that serves for the discussion and trading of BTC. Even as a new user, you should be able to find someone to sell you coins for a bank deposit. There's a trust system that you can use to determine whether or not you would like to trade with someone. You should check both of these options out.
