Imagine, you were selling 10,000 Altcoins for .0005 BTC so thats 5 BTC. At the current price of BTC ($12,000) thats $60,000. And you were not able to go online for 12-24 hrs for some reasons. The value of BTC dipped to $9,500 and you didnt know it. Naturally, your $60,000 will drop to $47,500. You just lost $12,500 in just 24 hrs. We can say that Bitcoin and Ethereum are behaving more like assets rather than currencies. This is the problem that Emmetropia wants to solve.
What is Emmetropia?
Emmetropia is a Waves-based token intended to be the ultimate storage of value. By keeping the price steady, Emmetropia can reach that goal.
Emmetropia is a token born from my imagination as I watched the crypto world. I started trading, so I bought a partial Bitcoin. I had a hard time buying the Altcoin I want so I was delayed. But then, Bitcoins price fell down so I was able to buy less of the Altcoin I want just because I got delayed. And, no, the Altcoins price didnt move that much.
I asked myself, What if instead of using Bitcoin or Ethereum, we can buy Altcoins using real money like the US Dollar? But I answered my own question after a few seconds. In the online world, if you want to buy something using USD, you will have to use Paypal or credit cards. And applying that in the world of crypto currencies defeats the purpose of decentralization. Plus, the fact that they can always file disputes with Paypal or their banks to get their funds back. (Update: Recently, Bank of America announced banning buying cryptocurrencies using their BoA credit cards. And it was not the first bank to do so nor will be the last. More banks will follow. They are threatened by cryptocurrencies and they want to destroy it.)
Wallet We will have at least two types of wallet. One will be a lite wallet for Android phones and iPhones. Another version will be for desktop users. It will have a few features like a live exchange rate of various Altcoins being traded on our exchanger. It will be similar to the Waves Beta wallet - wallet and exchanger in one. Initially, we will support EMM and all ERC20 tokens. Goal is to add other currencies like BTC, NEBL, ADA and other coins with their own blockchains.
Something we might consider in the future is a wallet with the ultimate security available to mankind with some extra features. We dont have the details yet. We'll focus on this once Emmetropia is stable enough.

For our Pre-ICO and ICO, we will only be accepting Ethereum. We will fix the price of Ethereum at $1000 each.
Pre-ICO Pre-ICO will start after distribution of Airdrop #1. 3,000,000 coins will be available for Pre-ICO.
Each token will be 0.0003 Eth. No minimum and no maximum number of tokens will be set. You can buy as much or as few as you want.
ICO
There will be 4 Rounds of ICO. 3,000,000 EMMs per round for a total of 12,000,000 tokens.

Airdrop
Airdrop will be distributed after ICO distribution is completed. We might have 1 or more rounds of airdrop. We dont know for sure. But 12,500,000 coins have been allocated for Airdrop.
We are going to have 2 Types of Airdrop - the Public Airdrop and the Private Airdrop.
The Public Airdrop is available for everyone. Public Airdrop #2.1 will immediately start as soon as whitepaper is completed. We will post details here or announce it in the Telegram Channel so make sure you are in the channel. The Private Airdrop is available only to those who hold at least 500 EMMs. We are still working on the number of EMMs to be deployed to holders' wallets.
Bounty We wont have a bounty program. We have a small team of only 4 people. We cannot run and monitor a bounty program. Airdrop alone is already an extremely daunting task.
The first time we launched this project, we thought we can make it a success without running a bounty campaign. But we were wrong. We will soon post a bounty section. We are still working on the details.
Donation We dont ask for donations in exchange of some tokens. That is what garbage ERC20 tokens usually do. We are not them so we wont.
Why Waves?
We are still busy writing codes for our exchanger so we cannot write codes for a new token. Soon we will launch our own blockchain. ERC20 was also considered, but with the recent surge of the price of Ethereum, and Cryptokitties, we decided to go with Waves Platform. We will replace your existing EMM (Waves Platform) with the new EMM once our blockchain is up and running. Stay tuned for updates.
Our target price is $12 by March of 2018. We will lock the price at $12. How? We will all buy and sell at $12. Do not sell below $12, do not buy above $12. We know not everyone will follow the rule so here is what we are going to do.
Admins will place a sell order of 100,000 Tokens at $12. At the same time we will place a buy order of 80,000 Tokens at $11.90. (Figures are not actual, only for illustration purposes.) *Due to the laws of Mathematics, our buy price will always be lower than our sell price.
People can still earn money trading EMM, but those who will earn the most will be the hoarders. Our goal is not to increase the price to thousands of dollars (at least not yet), rather we are here to provide a solid and stable cryptocurrency people can use. Once we are ready to take the next big step i.e. increase the value of EMM, we will remove our buy and sell orders and let the market decide. When we feel like the price has reached its peak, then we will be able to set our fixed buy and sell prices again. Remember, we are here to be the most stable cryptocurrency to be used as a medium and not as an asset.
Mining
We will implement a Proof of Stake mining after the exchanger and wallet is up. For the meantime, just hold on to your EMMs and you will be rewarded for doing so. Does 10% a month sound fair enough?
It will be a manual rewarding until the wallet is launched.
