The Winners of 07/07/13 Contest are:

Any new entries will go to tomorrows contest!

I did submit my address an newbcoin, and even got the 2nd webpage showing my bitcoin address.    Not sure why you're data didn't show it - but not worth getting upset about. Thanks anyway.

I just discovered the mistake I made yesterday (and almost made again today).  I inadvertently clicked a link from the newbcoin webpage which re-directed me to a completely different website - where I entered my information.

I wanted to share my opinion on how you could improve the UI of you site to help other users avoid this going forward:

  • There is a 10 second delay on newbcoin, during which there is no visible place to enter or submit an address.
  • This leads the user to think they must need to click a link somewhere on the  page to enter their address.
  • There's a link on the main page titled "click here for extra coin" which, when clicked, displays a very clear "bitcoin address for coins" entry box.
  • This gives the user the perception that the "found" the right place to enter their address, and that they completed the process.
  • The fact that this goes to an external site is not clear unless you look at the URL, and who's going to spend a lot of time looking at all the details for fractions of a penny.

I suggest you make the "enter address here" visible as soon as the page opens.  If you feel the need to force a delay, I suggest you simply disable submission for 10 seconds.  This will at least let users know they've found the right place to enter their info, and they wont start looking for URLs.

Thanks for offering this contest, and I hope this info is a little valuable to you.
