Poloniex is one of my trusted crypto exchange.
Yes, they was hacked but they pay all losses back.
I'm not sure are they legal company or not, but they have very good reputation in crypto community.

I would really like to believe that and I hope you're right. However, facts are pointing to a different direction.
When I did a large ZEC withdrawal from Polo to my wallet, it got through, all good, except one thing: the transaction ID is fake - can't be found on the ZEC blockchain... What is even more suspicious is that a previous transaction I did before (on a very small amount) - went through ok, was on the blockchain and I got the ZEC.
Now, I can understand a lot of things can and do go wrong, busy networks, servers, emails, few resources to take care of things, errors, bugs etc.
However it's really hard to explain how on earth do they generate a fake transaction ID ?!! Specially when 20 min before all worked OK...
Needless to say, the raised support ticket is still unanswered. But hey, it's still early - only 2 days. And who needs the money ? :-) 😂😂😂
