Hi - I stumbled across PacCoin not long ago and noticed this was a community that was just starting to get active. As someone who has long dabbled in design, I think the logo change moves in the right direction, but think it's not quite as clean and polished as it could look.
For one thing, I think that, being an acronym, Pac should all be capitals (People's Alternative Choice = PACCoin - if this isn't the actual origin of the name I'm happy to be corrected though). On the design itself should aim to look more like the currency symbols that others aim for, whilst remaining simple and clean.
To that end I've done a mock up design for the dev team to look at if they're interested:
https://imgur.com/a/0OHO4The idea is simple - keep the black and gold them, but give it a more currency-esque feel whilst making it clean and compatible with the resizing you need to be recognisable across platforms.
