The problem is purely in a way how will he do that. "Return" using higher pool fees will mean that the ones who lost "almost nothing" and newcomers will be paying to the ones who didn't give a flying f**k about what they had on their accounts. Return using profits from the pool income - is more preferable but doesn't give any estimation on time spent for that.
