i think catapult is one of the most important reason, followed by the opening of a new exchange only for nem based in australia.

I hope people realise that public Catapult will be a very different beast compared to the private version at least in terms of capacity. I've seen Lon Wong, the president of the NEM foundation, mention a TPS of about 100 as opposed to 4000+ for the private one.
Doing it in public across the globe is always going to be much more of a challenge.
