I remembered just a few days before DOGE started pumping, I sold all my doge at 62sats with a total of $500 and with the rate at which it is pumping now, I am sure it is not ready to stop. And the funniest part is that it can be an annoying thing behaving like a FOMO, but I have learnt my lesson to always buy and HODL. No selling!

Before my practice is bitcoin alone for holding and altcoins are for short term holding. But now a days inflow of new money from investors may go to altcoins too. So, holding altcoins too is becoming inevitable for making free money.
