Which powered USB hub should I choose? Preferably ones, which can be shipped to Europe (from Amazon/Ebay). They are going to be controlled by a PC which runs 24/7 anyway.
As an aside, I would perfectly fine with upgrading my GPU mining rigs with ASIC mining by swapping those GPUs with PCIe/PCI-based internal USB cards, if the motherboard can deliver enough power.
