It is truth high fees and slow transaction time are the biggest disadvantages for mass using.
The XRP represents the other and opposite site which is low cost and fast transactions.
The next coin is Solaris XLR which has ripple's advantages and much more like zero coin protocol, masternodes POS, POW etc.

So my picks for 2018 are XLR and XRP. One with small cap and second with huge. We ll see what will grow faster
