Dev, consider making this web-mining only forever. This would be a great "feature" of this coin; also make it kind of unique at the same time, a good way to differentiate amongst all the other coins. This would keep old laptops and smartphones hashing away happily.
I agree that it makes old dinosaurs and mobilephones viable for mining but whether that is a good direction to go is debatable.
This week we will launch beta of android app and windows/linux mining app.
We will check statistics after that, but is one possibility if the apps have good acceptance.
