I wasn't sure if this was the correct forum thread but here goes.

I have a Ledger Nano S Hardware Wallet and something odd is happening...

I recently managed to claim my BCH, which currently sits in an Electron Cash wallet. I did a small test transfer from the Electron Cash wallet to my Nano S and it worked fine. Note that the BCH receiving address for my Nano S wallet ended with ***mfFAG.

So, I prepared to send another larger amount (I want to transfer all funds) but this time, when I clicked the "RECEIVE" button from within my my Nano S, the address was different?

I checked, I am definitely in my BCH wallet. Strange. I decided to send to this new (different) address anyway and the payment failed. So, I tried another payment but to the first address ending with ***mfFAG and once again it worked. I now have two payments from Electron Cash to the Nano S.

Questions:

1. Once I see BCH in my Nano S Hardware Wallet, are they "safe" or could they be deleted/revoked if address was found to be wrong?

2. In future I should always pay to address ending with ***mfFAG and ignore my Nano S "RECEIVE" address?
