I really need some input. I just recently attempted to send a transaction from my home wallet to Coinexchange.io, however, despite having the transaction confirmed on my end, it never even showed up as pending on the exchange. I did accidently set the fee too low...;(

It seems that you are on wrong chain. Your coins however are still safe, don't worry.
Compare your wallet blockheight to
https://stats.espers.io/ blockheight and you see they differ.
