Bitcoin is too volatile to be use as a payment right now. Its has the potential to be one but right now its too risky to be used in business. I think that's the reason why some company stop using BTC as payment. Some altcoin has more capabilities in becoming more stable mode of payment. It probably feasible for large buy like a house or car but for things we get from 7eleven won't be use. The main reason would be high transaction fees and longer transaction period. No one would wait for hours or days for your gatoride to be done.
