It is actually the best time to pick up tokens but my case is same as yours, being broke around this period and apparently is something i can't control.

let me join the train of "being broke around this period" lol... but for me its way worse especially when i lost some tokens couple with it all. Cry. but i hope peculium brings joy to me heart again
