Maybe McAfee was trying to extort money. Did you not see the deleted tweet from XVG Whale? He claimed that McAfee wanted money and if they don't give it to him, he will "destroy" their market cap. Of course, that tweet has since been deleted but the pictures still exist.
The rise of XVG was ignited by McAfee's remarks, and it was also necessary to pay a point of celebrity advertising. As long as the price to pay up, why not?
Doesn't matter now. Verge on the rise. The closer we hit to 2018 the higher the price is going to be. Everyone is believing in Verge and the wraith protocol now.
