I agree with this statement. I think what we are seeing right now is people moving into bitcoin - which is the gateway to crypto. Then they realize bitcoin is useless and start looking at altcoins. They read about Ripple and think its great because the banks back it. Then they realize a bank backed altcoin is the worst possible use of crypto, so they venture into real altcoins. After that everyone has their favorites. My personal ones are decentralized gambling - which is the future of the casino and high anonymity coins - which will always have a place.
