WHY?

deflation which turned it into collection,
transaction speed too slow,
transaction costs too high,
high requirements on the user's computer and network, such as bandwidth / memory / hard drive ...
mining increasingly centralized and big mining pool have too much power which may endanger the future of btc.

reduce user hardware and network requirements
