That is very strange. Binance should't require developers to personally pitch. What should matter to them is community support and expected trading volumes. The world is strange, but if only Tony can apply to get Byteball listed on Binance, so be it. 
Apart from changing GB to MB, one thing which I feel can result in the price increasing is listing on more exchanges.
