I think the question is: If I only buy a Fast-Hash-ONE 256 GH/s Module without the Fast-Hash Expansion Case (for a total of $3.999), can I mine straight way with it?

Yes, all of our Fast-Hash series of machines are all self contained. You do not need an expansion case, that is only needed if you want to expand past 6 cards.
