Hello.  I am running reindex command right now.  "Q:\qt_bitcoin\bitcoin-0.15.1\bin\bitcoin-qt.exe -dbcache=4096 -reindex"

I did not delete anything.  I'm not familiar enough with BitCoin-QT files (yet) to know what is appropriate to delete.  Reindex has been running for a few hours.  Still more than four years behind.  :-(  At present rate, I should be able to report success/failure in 2-3 days.

Also, at the same time, I am downloading a new original BitCoin blockchain from scratch, using a netbook.  Atom processor (Intel) with two cores.  Hyperthreaded.  This is using WiFi connection.  Netbook and WiFi combo is slooow.  With luck, new blockchain may be downloaded in 3-4 days.  Maybe longer if next door neighbor saturates WiFi.

At the moment, this data corruption event is an interesting problem.  But if I did not already have coins on deposit in exchanges, then I would be dead in the water.  I think maybe for small users like me, with no understanding of application internals, BitCoin-QT application may not be sustainable.
