Mining for most people will be done entirely in your web browser. GPU acceleration will help, but is not necessary.

Instead of a winner-takes-all mining approach like Bitcoin or Ethereum, Hadron's proportional mining allows people with weaker machines, including some smartphones, to still earn and spend. You don't need 6 GPUs or join a pool to earn, although having a more powerful computer means more proportional earnings. Mining is ASIC-resistant.

"Mining" is actually running AI computations for Hadron.cloud customers. That means your browser will be running useful neural network computations instead of just a repetitive cryptographic hash puzzle. Potentially, some of these computations can benefit humankind, including detecting diseases like cancer in radiology imagery.


The idea behind Hadron is to maximize impact by letting as many people as possible participate.
