They seem to be serious, they have delivered what they promised so far and also they have interesting updates coming. Not everything is on the roadmap, only goals for Q1, and Q2. They also got funds because 10% of rewards are going to development/marketing as I understand. I was also concerned in the beginning but after following the coin it feels like a solid project. But nothing is guaranteed of course. Solaris reminds me of PivX, which has a lot bigger market cap.

Edit: And even if there would be a presentation of the team, nothing is guaranteed for that. Projects have failed that were open with their teams. Maybe someone has a solution on this, other than having a team presentation? How do other coins deal with this?
