I have a better approach, because you are most likely not speaking to the owner, but rather a clerk or a store manager, you should always ask if you could speak to the owner. I approached many merchants before and most of them will direct you to the owner that makes those decisions.
Also explain payment processors with them, if they have difficulty understanding the technology. This way they accept Bitcoin, but they work with fiat.
