forked a few months ago to regain control from hackers who had attacked the block chain for nearly a year and were orphaning about 90 of the blocks in order to steal them and sell them on a few chinese exchanges. They made a small fortune over that time period. I have a hunch the exchange was in collusion with the hackers, but of course it's impossible to prove. so goes the wild west.

ps: not sure how many confirmations AEX is loooking for before crediting the coins to an account but they show up here in your account: https://www.aex.com/page/person_center.html and I have a feeling the number of confirmations is in the thousands.

don't expect to mine and sell within hours - that's for sure.
