I had the distinct impression that DGB only worked with Nano S and Blue devices and not their older wallets.

If they are just lingering in Ledger's mempool without peers picking it up eventually the transaction should just disappear and the coins will reappear in your wallet. You can also use another HD compatible wallet with the Ledger seed that supports DGB, such as Coinomi and see if the coins appear there and resend them.
