Komodo will certainly benefit from it because if you want ~5 seconds swaps you need a Kmd "security deposit" of equal value. The more people want to trade and the more Kmd will be locked this way.

The trading fee is only 1/777 from seller side, the amount goes to the DEX asset holders. This asset was traded on Nxt Asset Exchange as InstantDEXbut it's now being migrated to its own Komodo assetchain called DEX. You can buy it on Nxt AE and swap until march or buy DEX directly on BarterDex.
