Xtrabytes and pascal coin continue to fly under the radar.  If everything goes according to plan xtrabytes will replace or supplement ethereum but with much faster transaction speeds.  They are doing a third testnet using the old code right now while they wait for patent pending status on parts of the new code.

Pascal is more a currency platform with its user accounts and block chain trimming.  Only having to download the last 100 blocks presents huge advantages to bitcoin .
