Misplaced my bitcore wallet passphrase... any way to crack it or I am SOL?
In crypto you are your own bank, thus you are responsible for your account. If you lose your keys, there is no way to restore them as there is no third party.
However if you used a simple passphrase, there might be a chance to write a brute-force script. Depends on the length of your passphrase.
If you remember its structure and length, try here
https://howsecureismypassword.net/ to get an idea how long brute-forcing would take.
If you used a relatively easy dictionary password, let's say... youwillneverguessthispasshoweverlongyoumakeit or something like... y0uc@ntbrut3f0rceth|s then it's possible to brute force it much faster than that site estimates. Basically if there are known words in it or if you sort of made up a word but you know what it is aproximately then you can try brute forcing with dictionary and custom ruleset. If you're password is something like g2$'zPs8@ldsk@mdl9Djh3*l then you have no chance of brute forcing. Depending on how many coins you had in your wallet you can find people for this. If you had 100BTX or less, backup the wallet and if the price goes up in the future, find someone who is familiar with brute forcing and offer a big chunk.
