Is it possible to hire someone who can set up a masternode for me?
If so, who?
Where would I look for such a person?
What should I be aware of or beware of?

You could try NodeVPS, they do most of it for you and have simple video guides for the few steps you need to do yourself.
You could also use NodeShare, I believe they have a service where they will set it up for you via Team Viewer or something like that.
I don't recommend accepting any help from users here, at least not if it involves them having your coins, wallet, password etc... use a reputable site like one of the two above.
