Press E in the circle and then you will be able to send 5 EXP. I have the same problem, this is the fix.
The other problem - 0 of 12 confirmations - I have it the same, but I receive the coins, just in the wallet they are not confirming.
The wallet should receive an update to fix this 2 issues.
