i have zero connections with the new wallet. what do i have to do?

nope.
but i did not find a way in the mac wallet to change the settings. there is no "debug".
but this was a helpful answer:
All official seednodes seem to be down for a couple of weeks.
Also the official Linux wallet on github is default trying to sync on port 8033 outgoing whereas most nodes are listening on 8133..
Add these as seednodes in your zclassic.conf file or add them using the debug option in the wallet.
addnode=176.9.19.237:8133
addnode=178.239.54.226:8033
and now the wallet connects.
