It is currently at more than 50% of Bitcoin's marketcap. I don't even know how it got to this point, but it might end up really bad.

With a quick search you will find out that ETH doesn't scale. And even if they solve the scalability part, which would require some alien type of tech, it's really hard to find real demand for decentralized smart contracts.
