This has no chance to compete with Bitcoin in the long run. It's not useful as a currency, and not useful for banks in any way. It's all empty. I did make some profits with this, but it's dirty money, I'm ashamed. Will not touch again. See how I cannot even bring myself to say the name of this... token...

Er. Without XRP, Moneygram can still be used. It may have added a benefit, but what extra thing will not work without Ripple? Partnerships make the companies stronger yes, but not the users. You ask what Bitcoin is doing? That's the whole point, it doesn't need to do anything, and people are already using it. It doesn't need partnerships, promotions, hyping and shilling or bounties, and yet people are buying selling and exchanging it for cash.
You're deluded if you think announcements like that are what makes a coin.
