He had his stuff queued up and ready for the incoming rush. I could have bought all sorts of these parts and sold them back to the various builders, but to me that goes against the spirit of the DIY'ers and Bitcoin in general. However, if you didn't see this coming... 
Actually, that might not have been a bad idea. I'm betting that not all of the components that were sold are going onto Klondikes, so you would have effectively been securing components for the community. Of course, price-gouging would certainly not have been in the spirit of things, but selling back the parts at cost plus a small bit for your trouble? That might have actually saved some people here money once opportunity cost due to component shortages is factored in.
