I consider this thread as a sort of holy place where the wisest, oldest of the village come and talk. I love to listen to what they have to say.
I'm a newbie (6 months in crypto), all my friends are in alts, yet I'm making great efforts to keep the largest part of my portfolio in BTC, mostly because of what I read here. Yet those transactions fees are a huge problem. I went to a bitcoin gathering and for the first time in 5 years they had to accept LTC because the transaction fee was x5 the price of the ticket. This, and the fact that BTC is consuming more energy than Morocco, I'm not sure how BTC will stay ahead in the future.
I'll keep following masterluc of course.
There is nothing to fear from alt-hopping. If indicators suggest that alt-season is here, while Bitcoin will remain stagnant, then there's no problem riding an alt to x10, then buying back 10x the amount of Bitcoin you had originally.
