Ok, so I've installed Bitcoin Core via the PPA, that way it "made" to it's default paths (ie. usr\bin for bitcoin-qt,bitcoind, and bitcoincli). Armory seems to be working better now, however it won't update to the latest block. I have to close down Armory, start up Bitcoin Core, and update it, then close Bitcoin Core, open up Armory, and it will sync to the last point that Bitcoin Core updated to. But unless I get it within the hour before the next block is mined, it won't let me see my balances and become useless. Is this no longer a pathing issue? I'm running Linux Mint 18.2.
(As opposed to the previous way I had installed Bitcoin Core, which was via the tgz and unpacked it to a custom folder)
Btw Goatpig, I appreciate all your hard work. But that pathing paper reads like chinese to me. In the Armory settings it asks for Install Folder, and Home Folder, and there's completely different language in that pathing guide. What folder is what, and where?
