Just like what the others said, spending when the price dropped would only lead to profit loss. So instead of selling or spending the bitcoins you've hold why not buy more of it? Buy more when the proce decreased and continue to hold it until it satisfies you.

Many people will be quite worried and need to be reminded again that panic sell will only make the situation worse.
