My laptop got stolen a few hours ago. It had all my data including bitcoin too.
Fortunately I had the seeds with me and I have now installed Electrum on my work machine and recovered the wallet with those keys.
It also asked for a password and I have gone with a new one. The wallet is still Synchronizing.
Now my question is, are my bitcoins safe now? Do I need to do anything else? The stolen laptop has the electrum in it, what else should I do to make sure that my bitcoins are secure?
if the one who stole your laptop and he dont have any knowledge about bitcoin this may look safe so the best thing to do is after this may happen even in anyone of us this could be some lesson for make sure that you may have backup files if you may have the pc and also transfer everything before that they may see a lot of information about your coin for. but i think and for my opinion your bitcoin may look safe even your laptop may stole for.
Now bitcoin was famous all around the world then before,so the first thing he needs to do is that transfer all the bitcoins to a new wallet even the fee is little bit higher it is important to do that with priority fee to keep secure your bitcoins. And it is always better to keep separate computer system for keeping crypto currencies then it will full protection to your crypto and make sure your system is always offline other than in transaction or phishing links will steal the informations.
