I have generated a wallet that starts with "3" on electrum 3.0.5 so basically that means Segwit has been enabled right? Will adopt and go for the changes after your announcement regarding the update of our addresses. I'm still figuring it out on how to generate that "bc1" wallet (bech32 address) w/ electrum.
No, not all P2SH addresses are segwit addresses (P2SH-P2WPKH).Switching to a bech32 address would be pretty easy for me, yet I don't want to do that without asking you guys for your opinion and giving you enough preparation time.
After all, things are supposed to go smooth for both sides, not just me.
For me there is no problem as long as this remains optional . I believe is easy for anyone who want to switch to Segwit with Electrum wallet, they need to just open a new wallet from the current Electrum (3.0.5) and in the beginning there is the option to choose Legacy or Segwit.

I was worried how to do it and I have an electrum wallet setting at my other computer so I can use it if ever majority or all of us agree to use segwit. However, my concern is that, is it possible to transfer the future new coins in that segwit to my coinbase address?
