They have done this type of maintenance before and the site was down for several days but they came back and returned as normal. This week BTC will be under pressure testing 50day average plus first CBOE futures expiration Jan 17. Scavenger GDAX hedge fund institutions are now inside the blockchain so many exchanges are now updating and improving sites for efficiency etc.
