While you learn about BTC, you should also try to learn about alts as well. They are almost if not as promising.

most altcoins are not worth the time. so I'd recommend you to focus on bitcoin at the beginning.

Agreed, unless you collect the freebies and flip em fast, you just be chasing a bunch of dead ends.
