Didn't know about that. Will try it next time I need to refresh some token balance. I am guessing they implemented this recently because of ETH network congestion as a way to limit the number of times they have to look trough the ETH blockchain. Similar to how Myetherwallet requires you to load your tokens now, while before they were immediately available.
