The truth is for the last few years Crypto has been dominated by Anglo and Chinese users with everyone else having to adjust, so to see other parts of the world showing an interest is encouraging.
Also Portuguese is actually a widely used language  (ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_territorial_entities_where_Portuguese_is_an_official_language) so even though this project wont be the next bitcoin It may be someones first use of a crypto in a  Portuguese speaking area. I'm not betting the farm on this but I do have old GTX 750s mining this that are only1G so I cant use them for Eth, Scrypt and X11 is Asic space now so I am happy to through my hash power in the project in a productive way. Last night I was using the "official" dev pool but there wasn't enough hash there to get a block. I was looking to see if anyone wanted to spread the hash out for the health of the coin.
