Nobody can predict price movments, it could dip till like 8k I would say, but don't take my word for granded. Buy low and sell high - is easier said than done, when emotions kicks in specially if you are first time trader it might be hard. You can jump with altcoins from the start if you ask me anyway if you are looking to trade with altcoins I'd say you buy Ethereum because bitcoin fees are high and not many exhcanges support LN. So by using ether you can get your transaction confirm faster with lower fees and even some exchanges such as binance offer full ether pairs.

Use GDAX - this is exchange provided by coinbase. Use GDAX for lower fees and with it you can see the right market movments, live trading etc.

TBH if you ask me I'd buy straight away now since I look at long term, you can flip money becasue of markets volatility, it  is good but you could also lose some. DON'T invest more than you can afford to lose.
