@Andybrah Ok so basically back in the day when btc was just started there was a feature were the wallet was the miner so you would mine with your cpu. In this version it is still in but it is optional and enabled in the console this is a false report and all devs will tell you this in the new wallet it will be removed
it would mine to help the network there was no gpu or asic mining back then or even pools
