Short answer: the everyday person sees thousands of ads that are usually not very targeted or relevant. The reason for this is because all ad dollars go through an ad agency that does not have aligned incentives to save the company or project money & use their ad dollars as efficiently as possible. Since we are working on getting rid of the middleman (ad agency) advertising dollars will be much more efficient and ads will be more targeted, so at the end of the day, the ads "everyday people" see will be more relevant & much less annoying.
