I would say that the first question to ask is : do you have any disposable money that you could live without?

Also you seem to have thought about an investing strategy but keep in mind that buying BTC solely for the purpose of making a lot of money and storing it somewhere without thinking about it or keeping yourself informed might not be the best plan.

Try to think about things like :

What exactly is long-term to you? Try to quantify?

What would your target sell price be?

Those are two things among many things that help you build an investment strategy that you should stick to unless important new data become available forcing you to adjust it.

Don't forget that "new important data" doesn't meen that you freak out and sell whenever there's a dip. Evaluate the data on a similar scale as your investment strategy. If you are planing to hold long term, a dip may well not be a significant signal to you.

Use due diligence and of course do your homeworks (which you seem to be doing).

Then if you decide that you want to start buying, maybe think about spreading your buy orders over time during a dip to mitigate the risk.
