If you ask me, you should rather look at the actual prices of major atcoins and bitcoin itself since the market cap is a really, really poor metric for the purpose which you have in mind. It includes a lot of shitty coins which may grow a few times in a very short while thus contributing to the expansion of the market cap, but they are still shitcoins, no matter how much their price surges. And if you look at Bitcoin, it is still in a correction phase on what would be a mid to long-term downtrend.
